The cast iron tortilla press works well for this because of its heaviness and you can really use the leverage to your advantage. Next open the tortilla press and with care separate the plastic or wax paper from the top of the dough. Next put your hand under the tortilla dough and flip it into your other palm. Separate the plastic or wax paper from the dough. Continue pressing inch and a half sized dough balls into tortillas until you finally run out of them.
